As we draw ever so near to the holy day of Christ’s birth, I sit back and reflect on Christmas. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Had Christ not been obedient to His Father’s command to stoop down to our level and be born of a virgin, we would have no hope of ever being able to be in a relationship with Him. Christmas and Easter are equally important in the showing of Christ’s love for us. We’ve so much to be thankful for and it is so easy to get caught up in the shopping, visits with Santa, and traveling that we miss the whole point. I pray that you take at least some time this season to read (or reread) that wonderful story of compelling love that Christ showed us so long ago.
I’m so excited to be back in Tennessee for Christmas this year! Christmas, to me, is so much better when you have your WHOLE family (yes, even the strange ones) to share it with. You seem to look past their different strokes and appreciate them. And what makes it better than a 50% chance of snow in the forecast?! Not much!
